A ride sits between your hours.
Car, purpose and distance on one screen. The ride lands in your day, next to the work for the same client.
Approval only where money is involved.
- 1
Detect
Turn it on and the phone app detects rides by itself. Your phone looks up place names, not the Half5 server.
- 2
Confirm
Detected rides wait for you. You confirm them per week, or adjust them first.
- 3
Approve when money is involved
Only rides you bill to a customer, or that earn a mileage allowance with your own car, go to approval. Everything else simply stays in your registration.
- 4
Four eyes
Nobody approves their own rides, unless they are the only approver. Declining comes with a reason.
How much you record per ride depends on the vehicle.
-
The vehicle decides the fields
An own car with a mileage allowance needs date, distance and purpose. A company car with a no-private-use declaration needs a full trip log. You never fill in more than needed.
-
Rules per country
Half5 knows the regimes of the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France. A new vehicle starts on the lightest regime for your country; you don't answer a tax question up front.
-
Next to your hours, not in them
Rides sit in the same registration as work and leave, but don't count as time worked.
Rides that count for customers and team.
-
Bill rides to customers
Per kilometre, a fixed amount per trip or as travel time. You set the method per customer; those rides go through approval.
-
Mileage allowance for employees
The approver sees per employee per week which own-car rides cost money.
-
Manual entry too
